Driving Lesson #2

This is something that I've preached many times to people and it still doesn't catch on. I remember learning it in driving school, but no one ever follows it. Naturally, I began to doubt myself and then I turned to my friends over at KGB (you know, "Text your question to 542 542") and they backed me up.

Please remember the following: It is unlawful in the state of Illinois to have your windshield wipers on without your headlights.

Let me rephrase for you slow learners...

IT IS ILLEGAL TO HAVE YOUR WINDSHIELD WIPERS FLAPPIN' AROUND WHETHER THERE'S SUN OR RAIN WITHOUT HAVING YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON.

This morning it was raining and everybody had their wipers on but no headlights. It was dark too! If you don't want me to run into you because I couldn't see you, then turn them on.

Thanks!

New on DVD today!

-Leap Year
-Nine
-The Tooth Fairy
-The Nanny Express
-Hamlet (2009)
-Fallen

Got Leap Year!!
Good movie. You should buy it also!

I also need to rent Nine. I mean, Kate Hudson is in it! That makes it a must-see!

PAMELA!!! NOOO!! :'(

I'm so upset. Pamela Anderson was voted off of Dancing With the Stars tonight. This is a devastating blow. John said that they had been trying to get her on the show since season one and she finally caved. She gave it her all and we'll miss her. Now we just need Nicole Scherzinger to win this thing! And hopefully Niecy stays for a while too!

And here's my Facebook status after watching it live on TV and throwing a minor temper tantrum:

"I am so fucking furious!!! What the hell? PAMELA ANDERSON SHOULDNT BE GOING HOME!!! I'm so pissed. If you didnt vote for her you are un-American!! Shame on you!! Pamela is an American icon. I'm going to make a Pamela version of the "Leave Britney Alone" video. Fuck!!"

Haha.

My new piece of furnature!

This is the new piece of furnature I bought for my room. It's going to replace the folding table I have it on currently. I found it at Target on clearance for $9.98! Amazing, right? I think it is.

This is also me testing out a new app on my iPod. It's a blogging app called Blogger. Hope it works out okay.

Movie Review: Sister Act

Warning: May contain spoilers. You've been warned.

Believe it or not, I have not seen this movie until now, and WHERE THE HELL HAS IT BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!

Whoopi is hilarious.

"ALMA!" *Stomp, stomp* "Check your batteries!"

The storyline was generic and whatever but the movie was still fun. I still have to see the second one and it better not let me down!

This is probably the first movie, besides Ghost, that I've seen Whoopi Goldberg in. Strange, right? And Maggie Smith... GODESSSSS! Lol.

Great movie can't wait to watch the next.

Movie Review: Planet 51

Warning: May contain spoilers. You've been warned.

I did a huge no-no! I got myself all hyped up for this movie, and I found myself disappointed in it. It seemed like all of the funny scenes that made me want to see the movie were in the trailer.

The movie was definitely aimed towards kids (obviously), but it didn't have much adult humor like Shrek or How to Train Your Dragon (minus the one hilarious scene when they reference the astronaut's penis).

Justin Long and Jessica Biel were miscast. Their characters were still in high school I believe, but the maturity of their voices made me think they were much older than they were supposed to be.

The reference to the Alien movies at the end was funny and clever. If you didn't notice, the planet's version of a dog looks identical to the alien from the Alien film series. At the end of the movie, one sneaks onto the astronaut's ship prior to leaving the planet. Lol. That alien was really cute in the dog role.

To sum it up, okay movie. Lacked in many areas, somewhat original, glad I saw it, I don't know if I'll buy it. Maybe when it's super cheap.

So... Tonight's New Family Guy...

Tonight's episode of Family Guy was the show's 15oth episode. Above is a picture of 150 characters from the show (minus James Woods for some reason, you'd think he'd be in there...)

Tonight's hour-long episode was rather odd. It consisted only of Stewie and Brian and they were locked in a bank vault. Kind of weird for that show to do that, but then again when has Family Guy not be weird and out of the ordinary. That's what makes it great. The two characters went through some serious issues. And it ended on a really nice note. I actually felt a little touched.

The feeling was similar to the episode from an earlier season when Quagmire and Brian go out to dinner and Quagmire rips Brian apart! (video below) Like, while watching it, you don't know whether you should be laughing or taking it seriously.

As odd as it was, the episode was really good. Family Guy never gets old. And then there was like 20 minutes of original, new and old music from the show.

A bag o' weed, a bag o' weed... Lol.

OMG, I saw Vince Vaughn!

OMG OMG OMG!

I saw Vince Vaughn at the Cubs game yesterday! He threw the opening pitch and led the Seventh Inning Stretch.

I don't know why, but it blew my mind. He is the first celebrity I have ever seen in person that I actually like (I saw Journey and Foreigner in concert... :/ lol).

He lives in Lake Forest and visits my mall during the holidays. Amazing!

Movie Review: The Stepfather

Warning: May contain spoilers. You've been warned.

Dun, dun, dun....

Rented The Stepfather tonight and it wasn't terrible.

Beware of what's ahead because I will be rattling off who dies. And I'll mention now that I have NOT seen the original. You probably didn't even know this was a remake.

I liked the movie because we followed the stepfather more than we followed the hero. It was kind of refreshing in my opinion. We follow the stepfather from the previous house he was living at to the new one. We also saw some psychological issues with him that made the audience think that he actually is crazy and not just a killer: talking to himself, straightening crooked objects, the pencils!!

I thought it was dumb that the dad and the lesbian aunt died. The dad I guess was fine and it was required for part of the story. But the aunt could've lived and the audience was just made to believe she was died. The old woman dying was also required.

The end definitely should've been more action-packed. It went by so quick.

AND THE ENDING?! DUMB! He lives and gets away?! What the fuck!! That pissed me off. This movie was supposed to be like Disturbia and Obsessed where they die a disturbing death in the end! Grr. Lol.

Dark Knight Sequel coming July 2012!

Batman 3 has been given a release date. July 20, 2012.

According to director Christopher Nolan, this will most likely be the final film. Which, in my opinion, is good.

No word on who the major villain(s) will be. I've heard Angelina Jolie as Catwoman and Johnny Depp and Jim Carrey (again) as the Riddler.

But no one could ever replace Heath Ledger!
